The Coaching Manual is proud to support Northern Ireland club Greenisland FC, who have been benefiting from the help of our best-in-class relationship management team.
We spoke to Greenisland's Head of Football Marc Gamble, who had nothing but praise for the help and support provided by TCM's Ellie Barton in ensuring the club is getting the most out of the platform.
Marc said: "First of all, The Coaching Manual platform is fantastic, but the support we have received alongside it has been invaluable.
"Ellie has been great - it actually feels like she's part of our team. Anything we need, she will do it to the nth degree. It doesn't feel like she's doing her job to make money for The Coaching Manual, it feels like she's one of us.
"It feels like a real partnership rather than us buying a service. In fact, it might sound cheesy but it feels more like a friendship."
Founded in 1995 from small beginnings, Greenisland Football Club continues to grow - on and off the pitch. The club now has 450 members, and 100 volunteers devoting many hours each week and with top class facilities. They aim to offer males and females, aged 5 to adults, opportunities to be involved in amateur sport, within an open, yet challenging environment, striving to be the best they can be.
Marc added: "I was aware of The Coaching Manual through my own account, before TCM's Emmet Friars got in touch in September 2023 to discuss a club account. The conversation with Emmet flowed quickly and I took the proposal to our committee and they were all behind me - so we got The Coaching Manual as a club."
The Coaching Manual has primarily been used to support Greenisland's club coaching curriculums. Marc said: "We've had a curriculum for the last four or five years, but I had been looking for ways in which we can support our coaches on its delivery. The Season Plans and Folders functionalities on The Coaching Manual have really helped."
After a number of months deploying their club curriculum through The Coaching Manual, Greenisland has also decided to roll out The Coaching Manual's player development app, TopTekkers, to their age groups between u5 and u11.
Marc said: "We had a call this week to introduce TopTekkers to our coaches, and Terry Barton (Head of Product Development), was really helpful showing us around the platform."
Greenisland FC has a rich history of developing players and people, some of whom have progressed to professional and international levels, including Jonny Evans, Corry Evans, Craig Cathcart and Michael Smith.
The club places a strong emphasis on coaching and development, and their primary focus is to develop players on and off the football pitch through a holistic programme that includes technical, physical, tactical, psychological and social strands.
This holistic, wraparound approach to developing players across the football section includes a bespoke coaching curriculum delivered by UEFA A, B and C licenced coaches; a fully embedded Physical Preparation Programme; access to physiotherapy and sports massage; nutritional guidance and advice and a tailored development pathway which allows players to reach their potential through their Player and Coach Development Partnership with Larne FC.
