The Coaching Manual is proud to announce a partnership with the biggest grassroots club in Merseyside, MSB Woolton FC.

MSB Woolton Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Community Club based at Camp Hill and the Simpson’s Hub Site in the Woolton area of South Liverpool, and is made up of more than 120 teams.

The Coaching Manual Founder Chris Barton said: "MSB Woolton FC are a huge football institution, filled with passionate people who want what's best for grassroots football in this country and, just as importantly, their volunteer coaches and players. We are very proud that they are now on board with The Coaching Manual, we look forward to supporting their coaches going forward and continuing our support of grassroots football in England.

MSB Woolton FC committee member and team manager Luke McAvoy said: “MSB Woolton FC are very excited to be partnering with The Coaching Manual. This will see all MSB Woolton Coaches gain access to first class session resources at every level of the club, for over 120 teams and around 240 coaches.

"After the recent establishment of a dedicated coach development structure within the club, this partnership with The Coaching Manual is undoubtedly the natural next step towards creating a first class environment for best practice football coaching, both at youth and adult level.”

They were awarded Liverpool County FA’s Charter Standard Community Club of the year for 2014. The club, alongside achieving such an accolade in 2014, are also part of The FA’s Club Leaders Programme since season 2018/19 which involves a small group of grassroots clubs collaborating to improve the sustainability of grassroots football across the country.

The club currently operates as the largest grassroots football club in the UK, holding in excess of 120 teams from Under 7 through to Under 21 encouraging both boys’ and girls’ football, as well as boasting three men’s teams, one women’s team and a veterans’ team. Currently the club’s men’s first team competes in the Liverpool County Premier Division, whilst the Women compete in the Liverpool County FA Open Age League.
