The Coaching Manual is delighted to welcome on board Leicester United FC as its first and flagship club in the region as part of a new partnership with Leicestershire and Rutland County FA.

Leicester United FC was originally formed in 1900, but folded in 1996. However, in March 2023 Michael Stevenson, Alan Hopkins, Kym Paling, and Netty Stevenson - backed by Scott Moore and The Richard Moore Sports Community Interest Company - brought the club back to life, starting with the Grassroots Junior Section in the 2023/24 season.

Club Chairman Michael Stevenson said: "We are pleased to be partners with TCM and their fabulous application.

"As a club that has visions of playing semi-professional football in the next few years, we want to establish a playing and coaching philosophy across the club and give our coaches - whether they are experienced or new to grassroots coaching - the best tools to deliver quality coaching sessions across our club, and TCM is the best in the marketplace for allowing us to do this."

Whilst Leicester United are starting with a Junior section, they intend to build a pathway of players into Senior Men's football, once again competing with the Elite Teams of the midlands and beyond. That's where The Coaching Manual comes in to support growth.

Michael added: "The Coaching Manual not only offers 1000s of drills, but the coaching points behind every drill, and includes so many more levels from tactical to educational development that can, and will benefit our coaching staff - but also ultimately what we deliver to our players on our pathway to senior football.

Leicester United has become the first club in the region to take up The Coaching Manual's club package as part of the platform's new partnership with Leicester & Rutland County FA. Michael added: "We are proud to be the flagship and first club in the Leicestershire & Rutland area to utilise their software and would like to thank TCM & LRCFA for their ongoing support with this project and sharing our successes along the way".

Chris Barton said: "Leicester United are a club with big plans and we're really excited to support their growth. It is a club run by good, genuine football people who are going to provide a proper, structured pathway for players in their community and I'm looking forward to what we can help them achieve. The Coaching Manual platform will help them create, develop, structure, and communicate their curriculums and philosophies while supporting the growth of coaches and players alike."

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA is the governing body for Football in Leicestershire and Rutland, and has partnered with The Coaching Manual in order to support clubs in the region with the world’s best tools and digital training content.
